FAQ
Yes, the seat where you most often sit on will tend to have more wrinkles and creases after awhile. This is normal due to the stretching of the leather as you sit on it. The issue, also known as puddling, will occur where you sit on the most. To reduce this issue, always plump the cushions and smoothen out the leather after use. This will reduce the issue of puddling.
For Aniline leathers, some marks may be visible on the leather due to the leather being minimally treated. These marks are naturally occurring, and includes things like scars, bite marks, scratches that the animal received during their life.
Regardless of this, during the production of the sofa, the best part of the leather will be chosen to upholster the sofa to minimize the scars and marks. This is the unique aspect of Aniline leathers, where the most natural form of leather is potrayed.
Our sofa are wrapped in soft polyester covers and secured in a rigid carton box for shipping. As they are not tightly shrink wrapped, there are far lesser creases on the sofa. Some of the sofa cushions may be tightly fixed and wrapped to prevent it from moving around in the box. Upon unwrapping the sofa, some of the cushions may be temporary flattened. This is just temporary and after allowing the sofa to sit for a day or so, it will go back to its natural original state.
The leather colour may look different due to the different lighting used in our studio and in your home. As the leather comes in different batches, and especially for Aniline leather, because they are using a water based dye, the resulting colour for different batches could vary slightly. As much as it is kept the same, there will be slight difference between different leather batches, however they should not differ more than 10% in the colour shown in the swatches.
